Preview: Sugar Creek Wildcats vs. Palisades Pumas
Having just played yesterday, the Sugar Creek Wildcats will jump right back in to play the Palisades Pumas at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, Sugar Creek humbled Garinger with a 69-41 victory.
Sugar Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ajaylon Ingram- Moore out in front who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Terry Watson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Palisades scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 95-42 win over Jackson Day on the road. Considering Palisades has won three games by more than 22 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Matthew Dillard, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Brian Ngo , who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Sugar Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Palisades, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Sugar Creek hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 54.4 points per game. However, it's not like Palisades struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 65.5 points per game.
