Caleb Hom was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Coakley, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
Foundation Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .725. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gulf Coast HEAT only posted an OBP of .478.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian earned a 7-2 victory over Ruskin Christian on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.
Braden Johns spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Kyler Rickenbach was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Fanelli, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
Foundation Christian Academy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Grace Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both Foundation Christian Academy and Grace Christian just can't seem to miss. Foundation Christian Academy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Grace Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.8 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
