Basketball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Liberty Christian Academy came into Friday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 41-26 victory over the Rivers of Life Christian Eagles on Friday. That's more bragging rights for Liberty Christian Academy, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Liberty Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Lauren Moss almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards and Madison Scheer posted nine points and eight rebounds. Moss has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

Liberty Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10. As for Rivers of Life Christian, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian Academy will face off against Victory Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Liberty Christian Academy is facing Victory Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Victory Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Rivers of Life Christian, they will take on Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Rivers of Life Christian will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis will have lost seven straight heading into Monday's contest.
