Baseball Recap: Murray Comes Up Short

Murray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wayne Falcons. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in June of 2024.

Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wayne, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Murray will take on Twin Cedars at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Sabers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.71 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wayne, they have already played their next match, a 16-1 loss against Lenox on the 17th.
