Basketball Recap: New Lexington Skates Past Coshocton with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Lexington). They breezed by the Coshocton Redskins to the tune of 63-14 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted since February 3rd.

It was another big night for Chloe Dick, who went 11 of 16 en route to 23 points along with five boards and three steals. Her afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Stanley, who posted 12 points.

New Lexington pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Coshocton, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

New Lexington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-38 win against Maysville on the 11th. As for Coshocton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 61-14 loss against River View on the 11th.
