Spartanburg was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to first in AAAA Region II. The Vikings beat Union County 51-21 earlier in the week.

Boiling Springs was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Nation Ford. The Bulldogs came in at 18 in the state poll after placing at number 36 last week.

Gaffney's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Eddie Studyvance threw for 187 and 2 touchdowns and Shaq Davidson had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Hyleck Foster contributed 130 yards. Greg Ellis helped Gaffney's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 47 yards.
