Soccer Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the Heritage Coyotes. While losing is never fun, the Redhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while the Coyotes are ranked 192nd).

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Liberty will welcome Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty has given up an average of 3.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Heritage, they will venture away from home to square off against Frisco at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
