Basketball Game Preview: Huntington Huntsmen vs. Glenwood Tigers

The Huntington Huntsmen will face off against the Glenwood Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Huntington is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Huntington beat Zane Trace 40-34. Given the Huntsmen's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Pioneers are ranked 601st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Glenwood faced off against Clay on Thursday. Glenwood walked away with a 50-43 victory over Clay. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Huntington's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for Glenwood, their win bumped their record up to 8-11.

Huntington strolled past Glenwood when the teams last played back in January of 2021 by a score of 51-34. Does Huntington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glenwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
