Baseball Recap: Pine Prairie Makes It Six in a Row at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwest, Pine Prairie was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Church Point Bears. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Pine Prairie's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Church Point, they moved to 14-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Prairie will take on Avoyelles Charter at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Church Point, they will welcome St. Martinville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
