Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mt. Vernon walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pendleton Heights Arabians on Tuesday. The Marauders haven't had any issues with the Arabians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mt. Vernon's offense was headlined by Jaycee Jones and Sierra Holverson, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Amelia Anderson and her 16 assists. Alivia Morgan and Aubry Dowling kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Mt. Vernon's record now sits at 20-9. As for Pendleton Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-17.

Looking ahead, Mt. Vernon will square off against Yorktown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pendleton Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
