Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes Down Pendleton Heights in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Mt. Vernon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Pendleton Heights Arabians 3-0 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Marauders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Mt. Vernon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amelia Anderson, who had 16 assists and eight digs. Another player making a difference was Aubry Dowling, who had ten digs and two aces.

Mt. Vernon's victory bumped their record up to 20-9. As for Pendleton Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-17.

Coming up, Mt. Vernon will square off against Yorktown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pendleton Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
