It's playoff time, and Spanish Fort had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Pike Road Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The Toros have beaten the Patriots the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-15.

Caroline Downey paced Spanish Fort's offense, picking up 13 kills. Downey got some help from Cailyn Boykin and her 34 assists. London Tucker controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Spanish Fort's victory bumped their record up to 55-8. As for Pike Road, they moved to 20-17 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.
