Volleyball Recap: Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Comes Up Short

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crooms Academy Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (106-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Crooms Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross Lutheran Academy will head out to take on Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crooms Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Orlando Science at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
