Two dominant guards in Aidan Walls and Isaiah Walker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Horse Creek Academy Stallions will get right back to it and host the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Horse Creek Academy is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Silver Bluff on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Horse Creek Academy might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Silver Bluff an easy 72-49 victory. The contest marked the Stallions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite their defeat, Horse Creek Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Walls, who posted 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. The match was Walls' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was RJ Patrick, who had nine points.
While Westminster Schools of Augusta didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Mead Hall Episcopal School 62-35 on Friday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.
Horse Creek Academy better keep an eye on Gavin Fox. He was instrumental in Westminster Schools of Augusta's win, going 5 of 6 on his way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaven Johnson, who put up seven points and eight rebounds.
