Volleyball Recap: Bunn Wildcats vs. Midway Raiders

Bunn and Midway squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Bunn had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midway Raiders.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 19-25, 25-18.

Laney Mullen paced Bunn's offense, picking up 13 kills. Mullen got some help from Maycey Buchanan and her 17 assists. Kherington Bryant controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Ella Clark was a one-man wrecking crew for Midway as she had eight digs and 33 assists. Clark has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 25 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn Hall, who had eight kills, five digs, and two blocks.

Bunn dropped their record down to 13-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Midway, the win (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Bunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Midway, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Princeton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Princeton will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Midway surely won't give up without a fight.
