Mayflower extended their winning streak to 13 on Friday, bumping their season record up to 17-6 in the process. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Melbourne Bearkatz 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since April 19, 2024.

As for Melbourne, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7. Considering the last time they couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
