Soccer Recap: West Boca Raton's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Boca Raton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Forest Hill Falcons with a sharp 6-1 win. Given the Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Falcons are ranked 334th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Boca Raton's offense was hitting Forest Hill from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Morgan Tyrakoski led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

With the victory, West Boca Raton broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-10-1. As for Forest Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1.

West Boca Raton will face off against Seminole Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Seminole Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9 goals per game this season. Forest Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
