Basketball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 42-16 to the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves.

Despite the defeat, Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Shalesshia Walls posted six points and eight rebounds.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Ballantyne Ridge, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Piedmont at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Sun Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
