Volleyball Recap: Northridge Raiders vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elkhart, Northridge was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies 3-2. The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pilgrims/Rockies, too.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (108-107) Northridge actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 27-25, 25-22, 18-25, 15-11.
Molly Nickell had an outrageously good game as she had 45 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.
Northridge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. As for Plymouth, they now have a losing record at 14-15.
