Football Recap: Ferris Yellowjackets vs. Ford Panthers

A win for Ferris just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They took a blow against the Ford Panthers, falling 49-22. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Qui-Darwin Cotton, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards. Cotton got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 71 yards. Brandon Mcneal was another key player, throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes.

Leading Ford to victory were Landon Edwards and Payton Wallen. Edwards rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns, while Wallen rushed for 91 yards on only nine carries. Those 91 rushing yards gave Wallen a new career-high.
