Softball Game Preview: Mogollon Mustangs vs. St. Johns Redskins

The Mogollon Mustangs will square off against the St. Johns Redskins at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

While Mogollon's win against Hayden wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Lobos 14-13. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Lobos recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Johns, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Northland Prep Academy on Monday as they made off with a 20-2 win. The Redskins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

St. Johns' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Mogollon, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
