Volleyball Recap: Viburnum Takes a Loss

Viburnum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bunker Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Viburnum ultimately came up short, they really made Bunker work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 28-26, 25-21.

Jadelyn Barton paced Viburnum's offense, picking up nine kills. Barton got some help from Haylee Barton and her ten assists. Clara Gibbs controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Viburnum's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Bunker, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-20-4.

Viburnum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bunker, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Eminence on the 25th.
