Baseball Game Preview: Bledsoe County Warriors vs. Copper Basin Cougars

The Bledsoe County Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Copper Basin Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bledsoe County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Bledsoe County came up short against Whitwell on Friday, falling 14-1.

Meanwhile, Copper Basin hadn't done well against Lookout Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cougars walked away with a 5-2 win over the Yellowjackets.

Callen Fowler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

Bledsoe County's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Copper Basin, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Everything went Bledsoe County's way against Copper Basin in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Bledsoe County made off with an 11-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
