Union County and Dixie County are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Fightin' Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Union County will be strutting in after a win while Dixie County will be coming in after a defeat.

Union County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past P.K. Yonge 12-0. Considering the Fightin' Tigers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Union County got a massive performance out of Leanne Dicks, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Courtney Manning, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Dixie County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Branford, falling 13-3.

Dixie County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lizzi Parker, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Union County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Dixie County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Union County took their win against Dixie County when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 18-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fightin' Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
