After a string of six wins, Cedar Vale/Dexter's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 42-27 to the Flinthills Mustangs. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite the loss, Cedar Vale/Dexter saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Zoe Davidson dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Cedar Vale/Dexter's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3. As for Flinthills, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Vale/Dexter will welcome Bluestem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flinthills, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sedan at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th.
