Soccer Game Preview: Yreka vs. Anderson

The Yreka Miners will take on the Anderson Cubs in a tournament on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Yreka fell victim to Las Plumas and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Anderson also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 4-0 to Shasta on Friday. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Anderson's loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Yreka, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-3.

Yreka came out on top in a nail-biter against Anderson in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Yreka since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
