Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. City View Mustangs
Jacksboro is 0-10 against City View since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Jacksboro Tigers will be playing at home against the City View Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Jacksboro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 925th, while City View is ranked 257th).
Jacksboro's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Henrietta by a score of 49-47.
Jacksboro might have lost, but man, Lando Belcher was a machine: he scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. It was the first time this season that Belcher pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Valenzuela, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, City View humbled Iowa Park with a 80-53 victory.
Jacksboro has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for City View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season.
