The Immokalee Indians will square off against the Gateway Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Immokalee, who comes in off a win.
Immokalee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over East Lee County on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Indians with their most commanding win of the season.
Adrian Ramirez made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, Diego Gutierrez was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kristian Trevino, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Immokalee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Gateway came up short against Palmetto Ridge on Friday and fell 9-5.
Jacoby Bush was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off three hits.
At the plate, Gateway saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Medina, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Devyn Vitiello was another, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Immokalee's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-17. As for Gateway, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
