Softball Recap: Apple Springs Takes a Loss

Apple Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Neches Tigers.

Apple Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Smith, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another was Lauren Lankford, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

Apple Springs' record now sits at 6-11. As for Neches, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.

While Apple Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
