Basketball Game Preview: Belvidere North Blue Thunder vs. Kaneland Knights

The Belvidere North Blue Thunder will venture away from home to square off against the Kaneland Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Belvidere North saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 67-57 to Manley.

Meanwhile, Kaneland entered their tilt with Yorkville Christian on Saturday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They managed an 89-85 victory over the Mustangs. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Belvidere North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Kaneland, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.

Belvidere North couldn't quite finish off Kaneland when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 57-55. Can Belvidere North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
