Basketball Recap: Concordia Lutheran Takes a Loss

Concordia Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Village Vikings, falling 74-45. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-34 back in January.

Despite the loss, Concordia Lutheran had strong showings from Ryan Neidigk, who posted eight points, and Ghaven Mittal, who earned 11 points. What's more, Neidigk also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Coleman, who scored six points.

Even though they lost, Concordia Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

Concordia Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 7-25. As for Village, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Concordia Lutheran nor Village have any future games scheduled.
