Basketball Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 67-47 to the Rosewood Eagles. The game marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Bryson Hobbs was nothing short of spectacular for Rosewood: he almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Hobbs a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Darius Davis, who shot 50% from the field en route to 14 points and five boards.

Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Jones didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-71 loss against Spring Creek on the 4th. As for Rosewood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 62-57 win against North Duplin on the 5th.
