Football Recap: Georgiana Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Georgiana was the 30-16 winner over Ariton when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a blow against the Purple Cats on Friday, falling 44-13. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-7.

Ariton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Senn, who rushed for 30 yards and two scores, and also threw for 50 yards and one TD. Another rusher making a difference was Jacarrie Hammock, who rushed for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Georgiana's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Georgiana and Ariton will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Panthers are set to challenge their familiar foe Florala at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ariton will take on rival Houston County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
