Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Ritchie County

Wahama came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Ritchie County, but Isaac Hodges wouldn't allow it. The Ritchie County Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over the Wahama White Falcons on Thursday thanks in part to Hodges, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 16 boards, and nine assists. He has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 18 times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Seth Cronin, who posted 15 points in addition to three steals and three blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in blocks.

The victory made it two in a row for Ritchie County and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Wahama, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.

Ritchie County will welcome Williamstown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wahama, they will venture away from home to face off against Wirt County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wahama's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
