Baseball Recap: Eldorado Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Eldorado extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 19-4. They were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Manzano Monarchs. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Eldorado let Sullivan Wilson and Eric Yturbe run wild. Wilson went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple, while Yturbe got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Yturbe has posted since back in March. Sebastian Mestas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Eldorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manzano only posted an OBP of .286.

As for Manzano, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Manzano's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Zavala, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eldorado will host Los Lunas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manzano, they will take on Rio Grande at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
