Football Recap: Summers County Takes a Loss

Summers County is still winless after their contest against Mount View on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 16-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Golden Knights. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Summers County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mount View, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summers County will welcome Westside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tug Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Golden Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
