Baseball Recap: Whitley County's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Whitley County had taken Madison Southern down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Colonels came up short against the Eagles, falling 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Colonels have suffered since April 4, 2024.

Jason Nunley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Whitley County's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-6. As for Madison Southern, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitley County will welcome Wayne County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Madison Southern, they will challenge Garrard County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
