Volleyball Recap: West Field Has No Trouble Against Bear River

The West Field Longhorns got the win against the Bear River Bears on Friday by a conclusive 3-0.

West Field was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Owen Orrock and Lucas Chugg, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Josh Metcalf and his 26 assists. He also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Xander Stevens, racking up four apiece.

West Field's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Bear River, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

West Field wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Mountain Crest on the 8th. As for Bear River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Logan on the 8th.
