Football Recap: Caruthers Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Caruthers unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 13-7 to the Coalinga Horned Toads on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Jacob Perez threw for 36 yards on four of 13 attempts.

Among those leading the charge was Gracin Redding, who rushed for 64 yards and one TD. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Looking ahead, Caruthers will challenge Kerman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coalinga, they will take on Sanger West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
