Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Island Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Page Patriots 69-12. The matchup marked the Seahawks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hilton Head Island's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aliana Richard, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Mary Fox was her usual excellent self, going 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points and four steals for Page. Fox is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Payne, who had eight points.

Hilton Head Island's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Page, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Hilton Head Island didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-30 loss against Lovett on the 22nd. As for Page, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-45 defeat against David Crockett on the 22nd.
