Moapa Valley has gone 7-1 against Western recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Moapa Valley has six straight wins, Western has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Moapa Valley will bounce into Monday's match after beating Virgin Valley, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Pirates came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 15-11 on Wednesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Pirates' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Emmy Cornwall was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Aurelie Stratton was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

Moapa Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .594. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .444 or higher in four consecutive games.

Western couldn't beat Democracy Prep Agassi Campus on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Warriors lost 21-6 to the Blue Knights.

Moapa Valley's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.1 runs over those games. As for Western, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything went Moapa Valley's way against Western in their previous matchup on April 7th, as Moapa Valley made off with a 21-0 victory. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
