Basketball Recap: Statesville Christian Lions vs. North Hills Christian Eagles
The Statesville Christian Lions lost against the North Hills Christian Eagles back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Statesville Christian fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 30-27. Statesville Christian has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Leading North Hills Christian to victory were Ava Kibler and Addison Shehan. Kibler scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Shehan scored nine points.
Statesville Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for North Hills Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Statesville Christian will take on the Barracudas at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Hills Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Falcons at 6:15 p.m. on February 2nd. United Faith Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Eagles in North Carolina (the Falcons are ranked 198th, while the Eagles are ranked 453rd).
