Baseball Recap: Brandon Wins Going Away Against Madison Central

Brandon posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024 on Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Madison Central Jaguars. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Brandon got a great performance from Jackson Clark as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Graydon Walker and Jay McQueen did most of the damage at the plate: Walker scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while McQueen scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Those two runs gave Walker a new career-high. Keith Forbes was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The victory got Brandon back to even at 1-1. As for Madison Central, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coincidentally, Brandon and Madison Central will both be playing Hernando the next time they take the field. Brandon will host Hernando at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Madison Central will host them at 4:00 p.m. on February 22nd.
