Wisconsin Lutheran came out on top against Pius XI Catholic on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Popes. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Wisconsin Lutheran and bumps their season record up to 11-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Pius XI Catholic, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
