Basketball Game Preview: Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks vs. Pueblo Warriors + How To Watch

The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Pueblo Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Ironwood Ridge is leaving town to face Pueblo after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Nighthawks fell just short of Buena by a score of 63-60 on Wednesday. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Nighthawks, who fell 72-70 when the teams last met back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Ironwood Ridge had strong showings from Lucas Anderson, who posted 28 points, and Emilio Valle, who put up 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Derek Overton was another key player, putting up five points.

Pueblo had taken Walden Grove down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Warriors came up short against the Red Wolves, falling 72-46.

Ironwood Ridge will have to contain Javier Mancera as he made an impact in Pueblo's last game. He went 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Cruz, who had eight points and seven boards.

Ironwood Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Pueblo when the teams last played back in November of 2024, sneaking past 60-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Nighthawks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
