Softball Recap: Bishop Brady Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Four must be Bishop Brady's lucky number: they beat Gilford with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Giants beat the Golden Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1. The win was familiar territory for the Giants, who have now won three games in a row.

Payton Bryson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bishop Brady's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ava Archambault, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bishop Brady's win bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Gilford, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Bishop Brady and Gilford will both be playing White Mountains the next time they take the field. The Golden Eagles will host the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Giants will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
