After flying high against Finneytown on Thursday, Taylor came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Middletown Middies on Friday, falling 14-4. The Yellowjackets' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Taylor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Todorov, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Middletown, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-22.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will venture away from home to take on Roger Bacon at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Middletown, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lakota West at 5:00 p.m. on the 27th.
