Softball Game Preview: Jefferson Wildcats vs. Miller City Wildcats

Jefferson are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Miller City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jefferson is headed out to face Miller City after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Jefferson skirted past Lima Senior 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since April 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, Miller City had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over Lima Central Catholic on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Bailey David, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Teagan Rieman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
