Cannon entered their tilt with Charlotte Christian on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 11-1 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Cannon let Jolie Matthews and Clark Hudson run wild. Matthews went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Hudson went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one run. Those five RBI gave Hudson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carly Benz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cannon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are undefeated (6-0) when they post 11 or more hits.

Cannon pushed their record up to 10-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Charlotte Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Cannon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-0 victory against Charlotte Country Day School on the 17th. As for Charlotte Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-7 loss against Greater Cabarrus S on the 17th.
