Basketball Recap: Tyson Burkett Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Purchase Line + How To Watch

Portage not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since December 3, 2024 (when they won 70-27). They blew past the Purchase Line Red Dragons 55-30. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Red Dragons: they've now won six in a row.

Portage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyson Burkett out in front who went 5-for-10 en route to 10 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylin Walker, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 14 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Portage was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Portage now has a winning record of 2-1.
